Providing Home Inspections for Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, Polk County and surrounding areas
At Bee Home Inspections, we specialize in Permanent Foundation Certifications for manufactured homes, fully compliant with HUD’s requirements. These certifications are often required by mortgage lenders (FHA, VA, USDA) to verify that your manufactured or mobile home is properly installed on a permanent foundation system.
Why You Need It
Lenders require assurance that the home is secured, anchored, and supported per HUD standards.
The certification verifies that the foundation, tie-downs, piers, and support structures meet the structural criteria outlined in HUD 4930.3G (or applicable local codes).
It’s an essential step for resale, refinancing, or obtaining a federally backed mortgage.
What We Do
On-Site Inspection We examine the foundation components: piers, footings, beams, tie-downs, support spacing, lateral and vertical restraint systems, and skirting where applicable.
Compliance Check We ensure your system meets HUD criteria and any relevant local building codes.
Engineer Review & Certification After inspection, we coordinate with a licensed engineer who will review the findings and issue the stamped certification.
Fast Report Delivery We deliver the finalized, engineer-stamped reports in digital form so you or your lender can review and submit promptly. (Our engineering partners at MFDHomeCerts promises certification within 1 business day of receiving full inspection data.
Additions and Modifications
If your manufactured home has had structural changes — such as added porches, rooms, decks, or carports — Bee Home Inspections can also provide Additions Certifications. These verify that any added structures are self-supporting and independent of the manufactured home’s load-bearing system, as required by HUD and lender guidelines.
Some lenders may request a Foundation Certification only, an Additions Certification only, or both Foundation and Additions Certifications depending on the loan type and property configuration. 👉 Be sure to verify with your lender or real estate representative exactly which certification(s) are being requested before scheduling your inspection.
